Behind the sound

Experience in the story.
Intention in the beat.

Autofocused Beats is the production world of Algernon “Al” Parker—a retired U.S. Navy veteran, artist, and producer building from Wilmington, North Carolina.

Al began producing in 2022 and turned discipline, lived experience, dark humor, and a love of Southern hip-hop into a sound that is cinematic without crowding the artist. The mission is simple: make records with something to say.

“Creativity doesn’t expire. It gets more honest.”

The album journey

Therapy Session

One album. Produced, written, and performed by Al. Built in public from the first empty Ableton session to the final master.

Follow the real process on YouTube: ideas that work, ideas that don’t, arrangement decisions, rough hooks, mixing breakthroughs, and everything between “maybe” and finished.
