VibeVaultPro brings beat ideas, studio projects, tasks, and focus time into one workspace for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. I’m building it around the way I actually work in the studio, and daily use keeps revealing useful improvements.

Build 3: a clearer view of today

Version 1.0 · Build 3 — October 24, 2026

This update makes daily planning clearer and brings more of Autofocused Beats into the app’s appearance.

  • Do or Due Today: See unfinished tasks planned for today or due today in one view. A task matching both appears once. Save it with selected lists to create a live “Home Projects · Today” view.
  • Clearer saved views: Changing the filters keeps the saved view’s list context and highlight. An Adjusted view label explains the change, and Reset view restores the saved settings.
  • Branded Midnight Phonk: Near-black and royal-purple surfaces, lavender controls, and red artwork accents. Soft stays quieter; Vivid adds stronger purple surfaces. Text and status-label contrast are checked in both styles.
  • Reference tools included: Apple Music reference capture, title/artist lookup, manually confirmed BPM/key targets, and the Settings version display from Build 2 are included.

Still ahead

Saved-view definitions do not sync yet, even though their tasks and lists do. Completed-task archiving is also future work; completed tasks remain saved. Real-device reference sharing, saved-view interaction, and the remaining sync/recovery checks continue before public beta.

Build 2: bringing references into the workflow

Version 1.0 · Build 2 — October 24, 2026

Development build · Not a public beta release

In this update

  • Apple Music references: Share a song to a reference inbox, then choose it in the beat generator. Supported Apple Music links can fill in the song and artist, with manual entry available when details cannot be retrieved.
  • More control over reference-inspired ideas: Enter a known BPM and key/scale to keep the generator within those targets while creating original musical ideas. A song link alone does not analyze audio or verify BPM/key.
  • Visible version information: Settings now shows the app version and build number, making it easier to identify the build being tested.

Recent improvements included in development builds

  • A full-page Day, Week, and Month task calendar with task planning and drag-and-drop controls.
  • Subtasks, checklist progress, and a clear completion choice when steps remain unfinished.
  • Separate Do dates for planned work and Due dates for deadlines, with a teal Do-date accent.

What comes next

  1. Test Apple Music sharing and saved references across the devices. Spotify metadata support comes later; manual Spotify reference links remain available.
  2. Finish the remaining sync and recovery checks, including offline use, interrupted work, and backup recovery.
  3. Continue performance and usability testing before opening the beta to more people.

This checkpoint is installed for development testing. The initial iPhone Apple Music share-to-inbox and generator-draft handoff is user-confirmed. Other device, offline, and restart checks remain open; the full beta and sync roadmap are still in progress.

How I’m tracking versions

The app previously reported Version 1.0 · Build 1 throughout development. Earlier checkpoints are tracked in source history and verification notes; separate historical release numbers have not been invented.

During this development cycle, the app stays at Version 1.0, and the build number increases for each distributed update. The app and its embedded extensions must report the same version and build. Future public release numbers will describe product releases; backup, database, and sync protocol versions remain separate internal compatibility numbers.
